Forge Overlook - Phase 2
The developer of Forge Overlook (formerly Southern Crossroads) submitted plans to build an additional 31 townhomes on the site (Phase 2). Four (4) public online hearings were conducted to allow the developer and the community to make their positions known and placed on the record. On July 31, 2026, Administrative Law Judge Derek J. Baumgardner rendered his decision on this development.
Petition to Appeal Submitted - September 8, 2026
On September 8, 2026, the Halethorpe Improvement Association submitted a petition to the Board of Appeals of Baltimore County to appeal the decision rendered on July 31, 2026, by the Administrative Law Judge. Please click on link below to view this document.
A hearing for this appeal was approved and has been scheduled for October 27, 2026, at 10:00 AM. This hearing will be held remotely. Call-in information and a link to the hearing will be posted on the Baltimore County website (www.baltimorecountymd.gov/departments/appeals) the night before.

As part of a public service program, the Halethorpe Improvement Association adopted Potomac Avenue to help keep a part of our community beautiful by having citizens volunteer once a month to pick up litter along this county road.
