Design Review Panel - Meeting
Conclusion:
After examination and discussion by the Design Review Panel (DRP) of Baltimore County (Cecily Bedwell, Hyon Rah, James Stevens) and members of the community, the developer’s plans were not approved. The panel stated that more details need to be given by the developer regarding tree landscaping, specific description of materials to be used for the monument display and buildings, open areas, more information on their plans regarding the elevations (topography) and building townhomes. The developer needs to submit a revised proposal which will be reviewed again.
Overview:
The developer of the Forge Overlook (formerly the Good Shepherd property) has submitted plans to build “Purpose-Built Student Housing” to Baltimore County. For more information on the site, please see Submission and Pattern Book tab. This project will go through a different process called a Design Review Panel (DRP) for approval. This hearing just dealt with the landscaping and design plan of the development. Community input is not included in this process. However, members of the community can listen to the meeting.
